How to measure for chaps
Wear the jeans and boots you'll ride in. Use a soft tape and ask someone to help with the outseam.
1Waist
Where the chap belt will sit, usually over your jean belt. Keep the tape snug, not tight.
2Hips
Around the fullest part of your seat, feet together.
3Thigh
Around the fullest part of one thigh, leg relaxed. This is the measurement that makes chaps fit.
4Knee
Around the knee with the leg slightly bent, as in the saddle.
5Calf
Around the widest part of the calf, over your boot top.
6Outseam
From the belt line down the outside of the leg to the floor, wearing your boots.
